FUNDING & PRICING

We Help You Navigate the Funding Maze

Understanding how to pay for care can feel overwhelming. We’ll walk you through every option — from private rates to NHS funding — so your family can make an informed decision without the stress.

YOUR OPTIONS

Four Ways to Fund Your Care

Most people are unaware of how many funding routes are available to them. Here’s a clear breakdown of each option.

Private Funding

Pay for care directly, giving you full flexibility and control. Ideal for families who want to arrange care quickly without waiting for assessments.

Indicative Rates:

Visiting Care (per hour)

From £25/hr

Live-In Care (per week)

From £950/wk

Complex / Mental Health Care

NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC)

If your loved one has a primary health need, the NHS may fund their care in full — including complex mental health care at home. This is one of the most overlooked funding routes.

Who qualifies?

We help families apply for CHC and navigate the assessment process — at no extra charge.

Local Authority Funding

If your loved one has eligible care needs and meets the financial threshold, the local council may fund part or all of their care. A social care assessment is the first step.

Key facts:

Attendance Allowance & Benefits

Government benefits can help towards the cost of care, even for self-funders. Many families are entitled to these but never claim them.

Attendance Allowance

Up to £101.75/week for people over 65 who need help with personal care. Not means-tested.

Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

For adults under 65 with long-term health conditions or disability. Daily living and mobility components available.

Carer’s Allowance

£81.90/week for family members spending 35+ hours/week providing care. Can be claimed alongside other support.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Your initial care assessment is completely free and there’s no obligation to proceed. We believe every family deserves honest, professional advice before committing to anything.

CHC eligibility is assessed using the NHS Decision Support Tool. Our clinical team can carry out an initial checklist assessment to give you an idea of eligibility before a formal referral to the ICB.

Yes. If you receive a direct payment from your local authority, you can use it to fund care with us directly. We are experienced in working with direct payment recipients.

Blended funding is common. Many families combine a local authority contribution, benefits such as Attendance Allowance, and top-up private funding. We’ll help you map out the most cost-effective approach.

For private funding, care can often begin within 48–72 hours of your assessment. For local authority or CHC funded care, timelines depend on the funding body but we work hard to move as quickly as possible.
